about

Written for a compilation about Spring (due to be released later this month on Bandcamp by the Cousin Silas Emporium). Apparently the nature of the piece lacks clarity without the following explanations -
Spring is the end of hibernation and things melt etc, including in places like the Russian Tundra which due to global warming is set to release ever more methane into the environment, which is a pretty disaterous process. Spring is like rebirth of natural processes which are almost volcanic, well when speeded up anyway. ... Also Stravinsky's The Rites of Spring I think qualifies my approach to anyone who thinks spring should be all birdsong.
Personally I think I think I managed to do a fine job. I'll have to figure out my approach to the Summer compilation next ...
